We have been learning to explain how we understand different strategies. To do this we have been using an ipad app called "explain everything". Here is an example of one of our presentations.

Reading

Recently we have been using lyrics from songs as out guided reading texts. Last week we read "What I Am" by Will.I.Am. As part of our reading we had to present what we had learned. We did this as collaborative group work. The first thing we had to decide was how we were going to present our learning. Then we had to plan how we were going to do it and who was going to do what jobs. Here they are. We hope you like them.

Kapa Haka 2014

This year we competed at the West Coast Primary Schools Kapa Haka competition. It was held in Westport. We had an awesome time and did a really good job. Check us out.

School league tournament

A couple of weeks ago Awahono school put in a team into the School league tournament and went undefeated and won the final 4-8 (It went to extra time)
